Septarian, or Dragon Stone, is a sedimentary rock. Mud and clay deposits on the bottom of the ocean harden into limestone. Cracks in the gray limestone form and are gradually filled with sedimentary yellow calcite and brown aragonite, often from the shells of sea creatures. Over time, the combination hardens into a concretion, essentially a mineral cement.

Septarian is thought to provide a strong link to the spiritual energy of the earth. It is said to provide self confidence and enhance creativity.
