Shipping
How much does shipping cost?
We offer free standard shipping within Canada on orders that total $150 or more and international orders that total $350 or more, excluding discounts and taxes.
For orders under the Free Shipping threshold, you'll be given some options when you checkout. You should have the option of using Canada Post, Purolator, or UPS. You'll be presented with a range of options for the various prices and delivery speeds.
You can see more detail about shipping here.
There's more about international shipping here.
What is Free Local Delivery?
We do events all over Nova Scotia, from Halifax to Yarmouth. When you order something off the webpage, browse our Events page to see where we'll be. If we're coming to a market near you, you can select "Free Local Delivery" as the delivery method at checkout and we'll meet you there with your new Things at no extra charge.
How fast will you ship my Things?
We try very hard to ship orders the business day after they're placed, from Monday to Thursday. They will always be in the mail within 3 business days unless there are highly unusual circumstances. We're doing our best and are super excited to get your crystals to their new home.
When will I receive my order?
Actual delivery time depends on the courier service bringing your order. At checkout, you'll have a choice of shipping methods and costs that will give you an idea of delivery speed, but once your package is in the hands of the courier, we can't control how long they take. Most delivery methods seem to reach most North American locations within 7 - 10 days.
What about tariffs and duty?
Most of the tariffs to the US that we have seen lately are under $10CDN on a $40-$60 order.
You, as the purchaser, are responsible for paying any duties and tariffs on the products you order. As a Canadian vendor, we are responsible for collecting and submitting those fees on your behalf prior to shipping. Once you checkout, we'll contact you with details regarding the amount owing. If you think the tariffs are unreasonable, we'll refund your order in full. If you're OK with the amount, we'll collect the tariffs from you and remit them on your behalf when we ship your order.

What about tracking, insurance, and shipping damage?
You will always receive a tracking number when your parcel is shipped.
Most carriers provide a nominal amount of insurance, usually around $100. If you're interested in more insurance please let us know... we'll collect the details and set it up for you. We aren't responsible for any loss or damage during shipping. Please ensure that you provide us with your full and correct address. We're not responsible for the cost of re-shipping a product the couriers were unable to deliver.
What are Open Boxes?
Canadian orders over $150 and international orders over $350 ship for free. You can place several smaller orders to reach that threshold, and we'll hold onto your Things here for you until you email us and tell us to ship them.

This and That
How do I contact you?
There's a handy contact page here. Once you use it, you'll have our email (but the web-bots won't)
Nature's Perfect Imperfections
Brynne Things are Things of nature. Crystals and shells are organic products and individual pieces will vary a lot, it's just the way they are. They'll have the blemishes and imperfections that make them unique and wonderful. We can't accept returns or exchanges based on that.
Technology's Not-So-Perfect Imperfections
We try very hard to provide accurate pictures and descriptions of our Things; however, every device will show colours differently, with varying contrast and saturation. We can't accept returns or exchanges if the color isn't exactly what you expected. Likewise, measurements are approximate, in the way one expects when one is measuring oddly shaped rocks.
A word about metaphysical properties
You must always take metaphysical claims with a grain of halite. Crystals and minerals can help focus the way you think and change the way you feel but they're not direct solutions to real world problems. Crystals don't replace professional medical or psychological advice. Claims about outcomes and effects are not guaranteed.
