This is a very pretty orca agate of deep grey, with white banding and cellular patches, and a few subtle little vugs to explore.
Orca agate is not a scientifically defined mineral, but a form of chalcedony, or microcrystalline quartz. It forms in smokey grey to black with stark white spots, reminiscent of the orca whales for which it is named.
