This is a beautiful, earthy piece of Nguni jasper, polished on the front and rough on the back. It can be stood to display either the front or back, and both are worth looking at.
Nguni Jasper is reminiscent in appearance to picasso jasper, with similar striking bands of solid colour and complex geometric details. It is composed of a variety of included jaspers, chalcedonies, and clays, and is named for the patterns on African Nguni cattle.
Nguni jasper is said to be a very protective stone, especially in helping us stay centered and calm amidst chaos or transformation.
