Kambaba Jasper Sphere KJS-001S-457-3 *

This is a lovely kambaba jasper sphere from Madagascar. It has the bold black and green swirling patterns typical of the material and is highly reminiscent of green fields and the beauty of nature.

Kambaba Jasper is also known as Kabamba Jasper, Kambamba Jasper, and Crocodile Jasper. It was originally reported to be a stromatolite, or form of fossilized algae. Modern testing indicates that it is actually a volcanic rhyolite. To further complicate things, there is a Kambamby Ocean Jasper which is an altogether different rock, being an orbicular jasper only found in Madagascar.

Kambaba jasper is both energizing and reassuring, connecting us with the power and confidence that comes from earthy energies.
