Chevron Amethyst Freeform CAF002S-230

This is a really cool chevron amethyst freeform. It has very interesting chevron banding, in thin lines that have taken a variety of geometric shapes. There are patches of amethyst, clear quartz, and hematite. Nice looking rock.

Amethyst is quartz that has bonded with iron and it receives its characteristic colour through heat and irradiation. Chevron amethyst forms under chaotic conditions, when the distribution of iron is uneven and heat and radiation conditions change. The result is varying intensities and colours within a single specimen, often in characteristic V shapes (chevrons). 

Chevron amethyst is said to be a stone of clarity and intuition. It dispels the fears and negativity that confuse us and leaves us available for spiritual growth and healing.
