If you like your stones rugged, this is a really great amethyst freeform for you. It's a banded, brecciated, funky, and chunky mashup of amethyst, clear quartz, matrix, and hematite. It's both beautiful and super fun to look at.
Amethyst is quartz that has bonded with iron and it receives its characteristic colour through heat and irradiation. Chevron amethyst forms under chaotic conditions, when the distribution of iron is uneven and heat and radiation conditions change. The result is varying intensities and colours within a single specimen, often in characteristic V shapes (chevrons).
Chevron amethyst is said to be a stone of clarity and intuition. It dispels the fears and negativity that confuse us and leaves us available for spiritual growth and healing.
