This is a very pretty, very busy shattuckite specimen from the Congo. It's deep blue and bright blue, botryoidal, and nestled on top of quartz, with just a hint of smoky quartz 'cos it doesn't have enough going on to start with.

Shattuckite forms around copper ore deposits, composed of oxidized copper, portions of water molecules, and silicon. It is a vibrant and diversely textured mineral that forms in intense light to deep blues. It often forms around other dramatic copper-derived minerals like malachite, chrysocolla, and azurite.

Shattuckite is often associated with intuition and psychic ability and is said to strengthen communication that resolves differences or brings about balance.

As a natural mineral, this product may include the beautiful, fabulous inconsistencies, dings, divots, inclusions, vugs, and sparkly bits that nature bestows upon the things that it creates. Any woes and wonders have been calculated into the price. We’ve done our best to capture the product accurately, but colours will vary and measurements are taken on oddly shaped stones.
