This is a very pretty shattuckite specimen from the Congo. It's shark-like in shape, with spots of azurite and chrysocolla on smoky quartz.
Shattuckite forms around copper ore deposits, composed of oxidized copper, portions of water molecules, and silicon. It is a vibrant and diversely textured mineral that forms in intense light to deep blues. It often forms around other dramatic copper-derived minerals like malachite, chrysocolla, and azurite.
Shattuckite is often associated with intuition and psychic ability and is said to strengthen communication that resolves differences or brings about balance.
