This is a great amethyst point for those that love the rugged look. It has a wonderful, complicated chunk out of of one side containing a rusty blanket of hematite. On the exterior, it is almost colourless, transitioning to some very cool geometric purple patches and bountiful rainbow veils.
Amethyst is quartz that has bonded with iron and it receives its characteristic colour through heat and irradiation.
